Shasta. The Mansion in Portland looks a bit like French Provicial influence - when mentioned "circular rooms" I assumed you ment the rooms had no corners, but you mean that they all radiate off a circular hallway, I guess. The house photos in Yreka show the typical late Victorian fascination with the Gothic style - yes, reninicent of Gothic churches.....consistent with that Romantic Period. I have pictures of similar houses in New England and New York. The link to the Portland Chinese Gardens was not available, currently. Would love to see that someday. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
